Requirements :

  • Matric or ABET equivalent. Appropriate qualification (with duration of at least 2 years) or prescribed in-service training (with duration of at least 2 years) that allows for the required registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA), where applicable in the relevant profession. Registration with the HPCSA in the relevant Profession. No experience required after obtaining an appropriate qualification or prescribed in service training that allows for the required registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Knowledge and skills: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment. To relieve colleagues as the need arises and work closely with other disciplines. Ability to handle information confidentially. Ability to work independently and in a team. Knowledge and application of the Batho Pele principles. Applicant should be prepared to undergo medical surveillance as an inherit job requirement. Duties :

  • Provide ECG service in the entire hospital (clinics and wards). Report all faulty equipment to ECG Department supervisor. Co-ordinate equipment maintenance and repairs. Ordering of ECG department disposable stock items when required. Candidate will be responsible for compiling ECG Statistics for the department. Contribute to the development of the ECG department and ECG profession including participation in institutional workshop and ECG development program. Provide public education regarding ECG services. Contribute towards implementation of strategic plans in keeping with the requirements of the institution, the province and national health. Ensure that the ECG infection control policy is adhered to. Adhere to all legislation, regulations, ethical policies, guidelines and protocols for ECG at a national, provincial and institution-specific level.
