Requirements :

• Minimum Requirements • National Diploma in IT, Information Systems, or a related field • 2–4 years’ experience in a desktop support or EUC technician role • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking • Familiarity with endpoint protection, backup tools, and mobile device management (MDM) • Solid troubleshooting experience for hardware, OS, and application issues • Valid driver’s license (preferred) Preferred Certifications • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate • CompTIA A+ / N+ • ITIL Foundation (or willingness to obtain) Competencies & Personal Traits • Attention to detail and customer service mindset • Adaptability in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment • Ability to work both independently and in teams • Commitment to public service delivery and community enablement through technology

Duties :

• Role Overview The Intermediate EUC Engineer supports the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user hardware and software systems. This role also contributes to user support, endpoint management, and implementation of enterprise device policies aligned with MTC’s ICT and Smart City goals. Key Responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices • Administer user accounts, profiles, and device enrolment through tools like Intune or Active Directory • Provide second-line support for incidents escalated from the service desk • Perform regular patching, updates, and antivirus scans across endpoints • Manage imaging and re-deployment of devices using deployment tools (e.g., MDT/WDS) • Monitor device compliance, storage usage, and license status • Assist in the rollout of Microsoft 365 apps and cloud-based collaboration tools • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, assets, and support activities • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with POPIA and cybersecurity policies • Engage end-users with empathy, professionalism, and problem-solving efficiency
