MBChB, appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner, HPCSA registration as an independent medical practitioner and must be post Community Service. Preference will be given to those who have completed Registrar training and/or Part 1 of the FC Diagnostic Radiology examinations.
Duties :

The incumbent will work as a Medical Officer in Radiology Department, responsible for delivery of Radiology services to all patients referred for service. Render all Diagnostic modalities available in Radiology Department in Tembisa Hospital. Must participate in departmental audit activities, preparing and writing of reports. Supervising junior doctors (undergraduate students, interns and community service doctors). Participate in multidisciplinary team (including Radiographers and Nurses) contributing to the management of patients. Participation in departmental meetings, journal clubs, case presentations, lectures and ward rounds. Participating in all activities of the discipline in relation to teaching and research. Commuted overtime is mandatory to ensure provision of continuous uninterrupted care of patients. Attendance of relevant administrative meeting like multi-disciplinary team meetings, near miss meeting and completing MEDICO Legal Documents/ Reports timeously. Improve quality of care by providing appropriate clinical care. Reduce medical litigation by exercising good clinical ethos. Implement and monitor adherence to National Core Standards (norms and standards) and promote Ideal Hospital program. Ensure proper record keeping in the department. Liaison and communication services, including community liaison.
