Requirements :

• Grade 12 with Minimum of B Pharm degree that allows a registration with South African Pharmacy council (SAPC). Current registration with SAPC as a Pharmacist, must have completed one year Community Service. Be a practicing Pharmacist with proof of CPD compliance (CPD Summary).Responsible for providing pharmaceutical care as per requirements of the Pharmacy according to legislation and regulations. Excellent numeracy skills, good communication and interpersonal skills. Good time management and computer literacy.

Duties :

• Provision of effective pharmaceutical care in hospital pharmacy. Ensuring that all regulations covering the operations of the pharmacy are carried out and complied with. Compliance with all relevant legislations, rules, codes and guidelines of SAPC. Continuously reviewing his/her level of professional knowledge and expertise. Participation in regular CPD programs. Compliance with STG’s, SOP’s and work procedures to ensure best patient care. Supervise and train pharmacy support staff and interns/students. Compounding and manipulation of medicine. Research and development. Provision of information. Promotion of public health. Purchase and supply and distribution of medicine.
