Requirements :

• A minimum of 4 years in Urology. Ability and willingness to perform duties outside of normal hours and away from base of employment when required, including overtime and weekend calls. Be able to supervise and to act as a consultant as per requirement. Completion of MMed will be an added advantage. Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner, HPCSA registration as an independent medical practitioner. Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident. Proof of current HPCSA registration.

Duties :

• Render a full spectrum of Urology inpatient, outpatient services and surgical cases. Provide clinical guidance to designated clinic staff. Ability to lead standardization of care inspirational to the health care team. Ability to work within a team of healthcare professionals with integrity and respect. Commitment to organizational values and vision. Dedication to patient safety and quality of health care. Track record of fostering teamwork and collaboration among physicians. Excellent interpersonal skills. Perform department administrative duties, and students teaching. Initiate and participate in clinical research. Render after-hours clinical services. Participate and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team in managing and caring for patients. Supervising and completing medico-legal documents timeously e.g. death certificates and insurance firms. Participating as a leader in mortality and morbidity meetings and evaluating and assessing rotating Registrars, interns and students. Assist the clinical head with the administration responsibilities.
