Requirements :

  • A SAQA recognized NQF level 7 tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management /Development or related field. Five (5) years’ applicable experience at Senior Management Level in Human resources Management /Human Resources Development . A valid Driver’s Licence (with exception for people living with disabilities). Extensive knowledge of workforce learning and development strategies and resources. Functional knowledge of career development, mentoring and coaching. Presentation and facilitation skills. Strategic capability & leadership, programme & project management, financial, change and knowledge management. Problem solving & analysis, people management and empowerment. Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Duties :

  • To provide strategic leadership on the education ,training and development in the Department, Develop and implement the strategic and business plans . Identify relevant transversal training programs for identified occupations and advise on new training trends. Coordinate and oversee the implementation of learnerships, internship, & coaching programs. Manage the administration of departmental bursary scheme. Ensure that the Department complies with all skills development legislation and requirements such as SAQA Act, SDA, SDLA, etc for health sciences and broader education, training and development needs of the GDoH. Establish and maintain good relations with education and training institutions and key stakeholders in curriculum development, implementation and review. Oversee the implementation of learnerships, internship, & coaching programs. Develop and oversee the implementation of Human Resources Development policies, guidelines, procedures , systems and controls to deliver effective and efficient services . Coordinate and support community services, internship programmes as well as foreign health professionals programmes. Oversee the registration and non-registration of health professionals . Ensure continuing professional development for the Health Professionals in relevant clinical practice areas and alignment of curricula with the strategic objectives of GDoH. Manage human and financial resources within the division.
