Requirements :

  • Basic qualification accredited with the SANC in terms of Government Notice R425 (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or Equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse. Registration with SANC.A minimum of 7 years of appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing, including Nursing Education qualification. Valid driver’s license and driving experience. Experience in classroom (Didactic) nursing training/ facilitation and mentoring. Knowledge of the clinical field of HIV, AIDS, STI and TB and or Maternal, Neonatal, Child. Registration as an ETDP in facilitation, Assessor, and Moderation also added advantage. Possession of Post Basic diploma in Advance midwifery, trauma, and Emergency Nursing Science, and Neonatal Nursing will be added advantage. Competencies needed: Good communication (written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation) Skills. Proficient in computer skills in particular Excel, word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Knowledge of policy development and application. A high level of diligence and commitment in ensuring that all duties are performed according to standard, quality, and meet the time frames set. An independent critical thinker. Research skills. Knowledge of Human Resource Development legislations. Ability to work under pressure and meet the set deadlines.

Duties :

  • Support the performance of District RTC objectives. Plan, organize and monitor all education, training and development activities for the Facilities, Sub Districts and District training needs analysis. Develop annual training plans/calendar with RTC and local stakeholders. Offer and support the clinical mentorship for Professional Nurses on NIMART and NIM DR TB. Monitor and analyze training mentorship outcomes. Liaise with subject matter experts and specialists in the Department. Curriculum Development for skills programs and qualifications, standardization, and accreditation of all training programmes in order to meet the requirements set by the National Department of Health and accrediting bodies. Conduct/facilitate training programmes for the RTC and CPD training. Manage training programmes and statistics reports monthly, quarterly, and annually. Work in collaboration with the District HRD unit, PHC Master trainers, LG District Training Manager including USAID and Global fund training organisations supporting the District.
