Requirements :

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification. NQF level 6 is an added advantage. The candidate must have extensive experience in a supervisory/leadership role in the health sector. Must have experience working with elementary staff categories. Must have interpersonal skills, have excellent time management skill. Must have problems solving skills to manage and interact with other hospital staff. Understanding the operations of the Directorate of Patient Administration and Logistics.
Full understanding of safety standards, comprehensive knowledge of basic software. Ability to multi-task. Leadership and conflict management skills. Excellent communication skills. The candidate must be prepared to work shifts.
Duties :
-
Oversee the business operations of the Directorate of Patient Administration and Logistics. Ensure that quality standards are being met and proper procedures are followed. Give guidance to employees in handling errors and problems. Monitor employee performance to ensure that they complete their tasks and are motivated to work effectively. Coordinate work schedules and assignments. Interpret and explain work procedures and policies to support services staff. Prepare and manage reports and correspondence. Work with other supervisors to coordinate workplace activities. Work closely with the Patient Care Office, the Department of Infrastructure Development, and the SAPS to address workplace challenges that arises from time to time. Sign off the attendance registers. Take the responsivities for the coordination of cleaning services, ensuring they meet the operational requirements. Conduct regular walkabouts to address workplace challenges.
