Requirements :

  • Grade 10 / AET level 5 to Grade 12 certificate. Have knowledge of Batho Pele principles, Patient rights and OHS act. Have 6 months experience in a hospital environment. Be able to work shifts as per allocation.

Duties :

  • Issuing and delivering of clean linen to relevant departments. Receiving of clean linen from outsourced laundries.packing of clean linen in the shelves , controlling and monitoring of minimum and maximum stock available in the linen stores. Collecting of dirty linen from wards ,sorting out and counting of soiled linen before sending for washing. Making follow up on linen not received back. Sluicing of stained linen. Quiries to assist in the process of stock taking and weekly spot checks. Cleaning of linen trolleys before and after use.Flexibility regarding Shifts (both night and day). Ensure that Ideal Hospital Framework and Realization, Batho Pele Principles, Patient’s Rights and OHS Act are upheld. Contributes to management of complaints and Patient Safety Incident. Perform any other duties as delegated.
