Requirements :

• Qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Staff Nurse. The proof of current registration with SANC as a staff nurse will be requested from shortlisted candidates. (Less one year from experience of candidates appointed outside the Public service after complying with registration requirements).

Duties :

• Perform all functions under the supervision of a professional nurse. Observe and report abnormalities. Develop and supervise Enrolled Auxiliary Nurses and Community Health Workers. To provide nursing care that leads to improved health service delivery by upholding principles of Batho – Pele and 6 Ministerial Priorities. To execute duties and functions with proficiency and perform duties according to the scope of practice. Ensuring supervision and provision of basic needs of patients that is: oxygen supply, nutrition, fluid elimination and electrolyte balance and safe therapeutic environment. Ability to screen patients on health-related conditions such as: TB, HIV, and any other health related condition. Analysing patients’ reports and keep records and report to a Professional nurse. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Demonstrate basic understanding of nursing procedures. Knowledge of the nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes and other relevant frame works. Good communication and report writing skills. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team. Ability to plan, prioritize and organize workload. Carry out any relevant duties as delegated by the clinic manager, or any other senior person. Will be expected to work shifts, and over weekends.
