Minimum qualifications: Grade 12. Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council ( SANC) in terms of Government Notice 425. i.e. diploma/degree in Nursing as a Professional Nurse. A minimum of 8 (eight) years appropriate / recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General nursing. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/ recognizable experience at management level. Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Clinical Forensic Medicine. Computer literate. Must have strong written and oral abilities. Leadership skills are necessary for motivating and directing staff and overseeing projects. Have reading skills to ensure all materials, specialty data and of high-quality and accurate. Generate reports and be able to make a presentation. Complete knowledge of the National Core Standard for Health Establishment. Excellent interpersonal relationships. Fair knowledge of relevant laws of the country. A valid driver`s license. Current South African Nursing Council annual practicing certificate. Service certificate compulsory. Basic understanding of relevant legislation that governs Clinical Forensic Medicine. Evidence of registration with professional regulatory body.
Duties :
-
• Coordination of optimal, holistic specialized nursing care provided for survivors of gender-based violence within set standards and professional/legal framework. Ensure good clinical practice for prevention of injuries and non- natural deaths to promote quality of care as directed by quality standard of care and professional bodies scope of practice. Promote stakeholders’ collaboration, Provision of effective support to CFMS facilities at subdistrict level. Coordinate, Support, monitor and evaluate program related activities including awareness campaigns, trainings, and research. Relief duties of the Clinical Manager, partake in overall specialized unit functions, i.e., meetings, team building and debriefing. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development and development of staff members, Generate weekly and monthly reports.
