Requirements :

  • Registration as a Dental Technician with the South African Dental Technician Council (SADTC). Bachelor of Dental Technology (BTech) qualification and current registration with the SADTC. A minimum of at least 3-5 years’ appropriate experience as a dental technician after registration with the SADTC. At least 1-year experience in a tertiary/academic institution and Supervisory experience will be an added advantage.

Duties :

  • Supervise and monitor the dental laboratory section, allocate daily jobs, and monitor the performance/production of technicians and lab assistants. Comply with the performance management and development system. Assist the dental laboratory to achieve clinical and academic objectives, teaching and supervising preclinical students’ laboratory procedures. Verify and reconcile daily the in & out work. record and monitor compliance of work sent to external service providers, Compile procurement documents for the unit. Planning and ordering of operational resources for the unit.
