Requirements :

A relevant (NQF 7) qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience at Middle/Senior managerial level in Transport / Public Transport. A valid driver’s licence. Pre-Entry SMS Certificate.
KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of Road Traffic Management Corporation Act. Knowledge of Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (Aarto). Knowledge of National Land Transport Act 2009.Gauteng Provincial Regulatory Entity Regulation. National Roads Traffic Act. Skills: Strategic capability and leadership skills. Duties :
-
Discharge regulatory functions in terms of National Land Transport Act and its regulations, the Gauteng Provincial Regulatory Entity Regulations and other mandatory regulatory prescripts. Head the Regulatory Entity and provide high level public transport regulatory services to the Department. Contribute towards the drafting of National and Provincial public transport legislation. Adjudicate on applications for operating licenses. Overseeing and monitoring of public transport. Stakeholder liaison. Manage the resources of the component and perform generic management functions.
