An appropriate recognized MA or MSc Degree in Clinical Psychology. Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist. Must have completed community services. Proof of current registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist- Independent Practice. Experience within a Psychiatry setting would be an advantage. Own transportation. Computer literacy. Good written and spoken English language skills.
Duties :
-
Providing clinical psychology services within the scope of practice and within ethical guidelines. Conduct screening, participate in preventative programs such as awareness/ outreaches, clinical interview, assessment, diagnosis and intervention of children, adolescents and adults. Provision of individual and group psychotherapy. Providing clinical psychology services within a multidisciplinary team from a community focused framework. Liaising with multi-disciplinary team (MDT) members with regards to patient care. Performing administrative tasks and duties which includes record keeping, report writing, maintaining statistics and providing detailed progress reports to managers. Providing mentoring to and training of community service psychologists where necessary. Participation in and presentation of in-service training within the MDT. Participate in developing and delivering community focused clinical psychology service programs.
