A SAQA recognized NQF level 7 tertiary qualification in Health-Related Field. A minimum of five (5) years’ applicable experience at Middle Management level (Deputy Director) in private/public sector, specifically in the health care environment. Verbal and written communication skills. A valid Driver’s Licence (with exception for persons with disabilities). Computer skills. Developed and conducted research. Experience in strategy formulation and Project Management. Knowledge and Management of District and Primary Health Care Systems.
Duties :
-
Support Districts in the implementation of Primary Health Care (PHC) full package. Support District and Regional hospitals, within the Province, in line with the Departmental Comprehensive Service Plan and National Health Core Standards. Support the implementation of Ideal Clinic Realisation and Maintenance (ICRM) in the five (5) districts. Support the collaboration with the five (5) Districts in reviewing and implementing the three (3) streams of PHC reengineering. Monitor and support implementation of EPWP programme in the department. Support the NHI readiness arrangements across the Province in line with the developments around the Bill. Support in managing key partnerships within the Province, especially with the Communities, Local Government, Universities and Non-Profit Organizations (NPO’s). Management of Human and Financial Resources within the Directorate. Support the Chief Director: DHS on legislation, regulations and collective agreements. Actively contribute to the formulation and implementation of the departmental Strategic Plan. Communicate report and integrate the outputs of the directorate, internally in the department and externally with all stakeholders. Consolidate and/or compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the directorate.
