Requirements :

  • Basic R425 (Diploma/Degree in nursing that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional Nurse. Minimum of 7 years experience as a professional Nurse. Current registration with SANC. MDR management certificate essential. Computer literacy. Must have a valid driver's license.

Duties :

  • Responsible for District Drug Resistant TB Programme. Improving DR TB case detection through the fast approach and other strategies, including linkage to care, and support the decentralizes sites for DR TB treatment initiations. Implementation of the National TB control guidelines, policies' and TB/HIV strategies in all the facilities. Monitor and structurally support all the DR TB reporting units in the district. Plan and organise the district quarterly clinical committee meetings. Ensure goo working relations with all programs in the district. as well as relevant stakeholders for effective management of the TB Programme. Ensure integrated Health Information System and EDR web. Coordinate monthly and quarterly DR TB reports, verify and analyze the data prior submission of the reports to the district and provincial DR TB Directorate in line with the timelines.
