Requirements :

  • A Bachelor of Oral Hygiene degree or a Diploma in Oral Hygiene having both the 2000 and 2013 expanded functions. Current registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Oral Hygienist and basic computer skills. Teaching experience (preferably in orthodontics). Experience in supervision and assessment of students, as well as curriculum development. Recommendations: Postgraduate qualification ,preferably in the dental/oral hygiene field or education and training. Research experience/publications will be added advantage.

Duties :

  • Lecturing including discussions classes with Oral Hygiene students. Clinical supervision of Oral Hygiene students. Conducting research. Administrative duties. Treatment and monitoring of patient undergoing orthodontic treatment and participating in out-reach programs.
