Requirements :

  • Minimum requirement is Grade 12 or equivalent qualification with 5 years’ experience in Patient Affairs/Administration. Must have experience in records management. Tertiary qualification in a field related to Records Management and Archiving will be an advantage. Team leader experience will be an added advantage. Computer literacy is essential. Must have knowledge of PAAB, UPFS tariffs, Patient Classifications, Ideal Hospital Framework, PAIA, National Archives and Audit. Experience in a Hospital Environment will be an added advantage. Experience in patient billing and revenue collection will also be and added advantage. SKILLS: Good communication skills (written and verbal), report writing, strong leadership qualities, decision making, good interpersonal skills, conversant with PFMA and Treasury Regulations. Must be conversant with the new PMDS Policy.

Duties :

  • Supervision of staff. Monitoring and evaluation of operations within Patient Administration units and Records Management. Correct Classification of patients according to UPFS. Maintain and manage good patient record keeping of medical and other records. Understanding Downtime Management processes. Compliance with Debt Management policies. Performance evaluations in accordance with HR prescripts and PMDS Policy. Batho Pele Principles. Hold regular departmental meetings, Regular attendance of meetings and forums. Perform other lawful duties as delegated by Manager.
