Requirements :

  • Basic ABET qualification. Must be prepared to work shifts, which includes, fixed, after hours, night duty, weekends, and public holidays. Ability to read and write. Punctuality and good working ethics. Knowledge of the different departments within the hospital and the services they render. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to communicate well with people at different levels. The candidate must be physically able to perform porter duties.

Duties :

  • Assist patients who are unable to walk to and from private cars. Transportation of patients to different treatment centres within the institution using stretchers and wheelchairs. Keep a close observation of patients during transportation. Transportation of corpses to the mortuary. Aiding in mobilizing patients for X-Rays (children). General cleanliness of the department and equipment. Perform any other work-related duties as delegated by the supervisor.
