Requirements :

  • BChD/BDS or equivalent qualification. Registered with HPCSA as a dentist in the category of Independent Practice. Minimum of two(2) years' experience as an independent dental practitioner. Successful completion of primary examinations with the College of Medicine of South Africa or University of Pretoria, or any University with reciprocity concerning anatomy, physiology, and anatomical pathology. Recommendations: A postgraduate qualification in Oral Surgery(Postgraduate Diploma/MSC).Current ATLS certification/Proof of a confirmed for the ATLS examination. Experience in teaching at the undergraduate level, including student supervision. A track record in research and publication. Proven exposure to clinical activities related to Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery. Proven attendance at maxillofacial activities(Conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.)

Duties :

  • Deliver academic seminars within the department. Conduct research as a minimum requirement. Participate in under-and postgraduate teaching activities of the department. Render services across all platforms of the department. The successful candidate will be expected to work in all clinical platforms of the department. Present academic work in national and international academic platforms.
