Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows for registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse. A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience after the
basic nursing qualification with In-depth knowledge of the HT, two (2) years or more experience in Primary Health Care setting will be added as advantage supporting the HAST programme after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC, ART and TB programme implementation monitoring in alignment with the 95x95x95 UNAID strategy. Certificate in PHC (added advantage), NAS, Nurse Initiated Anti-Retroviral Therapy (NIMART)including PC101 training. Experience in working with the Key population- added advantage. Understanding of ART and TB initiation regimes in both children and adults and treatment side effects/adverse event patient management and reporting, Excellent knowledge of the
HIV and AIDS, STI’s and TB policy guidelines and ability to integrate all HIV and TB related.

Computer literacy including valid driver’s licence, willingness to travel extensively. Leadership, written and verbal communication skills. Understanding the current issues and trends in the health system.
Knowledge of health-related and finance legislation and Government’s policy on HIV, STI and TB.
Duties :
-
Responsible for the implementation of comprehensive management of the Ante Retroviral treatment
in Sub District G to reduce mortality and morbidity due to HIV and TB. Ensure ART drug stock
availability in all facilities, Hospitals and Mobile Units. Ensure equitable access to quality HIV/TB Diagnostic, Treatment and care service. Ensuring that supervision monitoring, and evaluation
of the ART Programme is strengthened at all levels with weekly monthly and quarterly Operation Phuthuma and the Nerve centre Facility and Sub District support and reporting.
Offer direct supervision and management support to HTS Sub District Lay counsellor mentors.
Enhance partnerships and collaboration with key stakeholders in the HIV/TB management including
Local Government HAST team, WBPHCOT, Jozi Ihlomile, HIV and TB Managers,
and MCHWN Coordinators, JAC, DSD, DOE, DHE, Health Promoters, Faith Based Organisations
and other Sub District Health Programmes, Traditional Practitioners, Community Based Organisations, Local Councillors, Youth Groups, USAID, CDC, Global Fund Developmental Partners, Civil Society, Regional Training Centre as local stakeholders.
