Requirements :

• Basic qualification that allows registration with SANC as an Enrolled nurse. Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse. Knowledge and understanding of the Nursing Act, Patients’ rights, Batho Pele Principles. Good Communication Skills (Verbal and Written).

Duties :

• Demonstrate basic understanding of nursing legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices. Promote quality of basic nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards as determined by the institution. Provide TB patient tracing and linkage to care under the supervision of a Professional Nurse. Follow up of TB patients transferred out from the hospital to PHC facilities. Contact tracing of confirmed TB cases and high-risk key vulnerable population especially children. Notification of all confirmed TB cases in the hospital. Ensure adherence to treatment by monitoring continuity of observed TB treatment plans and support. Timeous submission of linkage to care reports.
