Grade I Appropriate qualification that allows for registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Paediatrics. Registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist in Paediatrics. Proof of current registration with HPCSA. A sub-specialty Paediatric in Paediatric Cardiology will be an advantage. Experience in undergraduate teaching and research will be an added advantage.

Duties :

The successful candidate will provide clinical services in the following clinics apart from being part of the general paediatric ward units: Paediatric cardiology clinic and attend cardiac catheterizations other relevant meetings pertaining to paediatric cardiac cases. There will be additional clinical responsibilities in the functioning of the department such as, working in the POPD, as well as covering the neonatal ICU and nursery when on call. The candidate will be responsible for teaching and training of under and post graduate students, including supervision of medical interns, medical officers, registrars and fellows.
