Requirements :

  • Appropriate qualification accredited with HPCSA that allows registration as a Medical Specialist. Plus, a qualification in Public Health Medicine (MMED) or a Fellowship of the College of Public Health Medicine of South Africa. An appropriate experience in Monitoring and evaluation of health programs. Knowledge in health measurement and informatics, and experience in using WebDHIS will be an added advantage. Knowledge and experience in hospital management and quality assurance. Skills required include project management; computer and communication.

Duties :

  • Ensure the implementation of strategic development and operational plans for the hospital and monitor the development thereof. To ensure alignment to Provincial strategic goals and objectives. To oversee hospital data collection, coalition, and reporting by managing the Health Information Unit and Monitoring and Evaluation Unit. To support planning specifically for tertiary services provided under NTSG and monitor reporting in line with grant requirements. To ensure good quality, timely data is available for decision-making. To oversee the Quality Assurance Department.
