Requirements :

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate), Degree/Diploma in Diagnostic Radiographer. Proof of current registration with HPCSA as an independent Radiographer. Grade 1: Experience: No experience after registration with HPCSA in respect of RSA qualified employees who performed community service or a minimum of 1 year appropriate /recognisable experience after registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer with HPCSA in respect of foreign qualified Diagnostic Radiographer. Grade 2: Experience: Minimum of 10 years appropriate /recognisable experience after registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer with HPCSA or Minimum of 11 years appropriate/recognisable experience after registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer with HPCSA in respect of foreign qualified Diagnostic Radiographer. Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years appropriate /recognisable experience after registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer with HPCSA or Minimum of 21 years appropriate /recognisable experience after registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer with HPCSA in respect of foreign qualified Diagnostic Radiographer. Interpersonal skills, Communication skills, Computer skills, Report writing skills, Time management, knowledge of Digital Radiography Machine, General radiography Quality Assurance/Control, Record keeping process, PMDS, compliance with the budget management guidelines. knowledge of National core standards, Health and Safety, and Infection control policies. Knowledge of Public Service legislations, Policies, and Procedures. Knowledge of Department Of Health guidelines. Willingness to rotate within the district as and when required. A valid driver’s license.

Duties :

  • Participate in 24-hour Radiographic services. Work weekends and public holidays and be part of the stand-by allocation. Carry out duties delegated by the supervisor. Ensure radiographic services comply with SAHPRA regulations. Adhere to Batho Pele Principles, Patients Right Charter and Ideal Clinic Realisation, Quality Assurance, and Public Service policies and Acts. Must be a team player within the Department /District. Perform Quality Control tests, attend departmental meetings, and CPD Meetings and Perform any ad-hoc duties allocated by Management.
