Requirements :

  • A three-years NQF 6/ 7 National Diploma / Degree in Health Sciences/ Management. Honours Degree (NQF 8) will be added as an advantage. At least ten (10) years relevant experience, which at least 3 years must be in a Middle Management (Salary level 09/10). Relevant experience of the Forensic Pathology Service would be advantageous. Knowledge of the District Healthcare System. Knowledge and understanding of legislative framework that govern Forensic Pathology Service. Knowledge of the PFMA and Treasury Regulations. Good understanding of the OHSA and related regulations. Familiarity with the COIDA and Labour Relations act. Must have valid driver licence, computer literacy, analytical and writing skills.

Duties :

  • Be responsible for the overall management of the Forensic Pathology Services in the Ekurhuleni and Sedibeng districts. Provide strategic leadership and overall operational management of the two districts. Determining and developing and implement policies and standard operating procedures. Coordinates the development of annual performance plan and operational plans for the district forensic pathology services facilities including business cases for maintenance and refurbishment of forensic pathology facilities. Co-ordinate district forensic pathology service projects, infrastructure, and information technology plans. Integrate forensic pathology service to various stakeholder forums established for the effective and efficient implementation of the service in Ekurhuleni and Sedibeng districts. Facilitate development and implementation of the district disaster management plan including physical co-ordination and monitoring of all forensic pathology service mini/mass disasters. Participate various forensic pathology service and departmental statutory committees. Compile financial and non-financial performance reports and submit within the agreed time frames. Put systems in place and ensure that all allocated resources to the district are utilized effective, efficient, and economically. Be responsible for human resource management, supply chain and financial resources management. Ensure management and implementation of risk in all forensic pathology service facilities in the district.
