Requirements :

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cleaning services environment. Supervisory skills will be an added advantage. Applicants must be Computer literate. Must be able to work shifts. Must be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays. Must be prepared to work under pressure. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Report writing skills. Must understand infection control, occupational health and safety act as well as other legislative prescripts.

Duties :

  • Supervision of cleaners within the hospital. Make sure that cleaners adhere to their cleaning schedule and the cleaning check list. Ordering of cleaning chemicals and materials from stores department. Monitoring the usage of chemicals and equipment. Conduct monthly meetings with cleaners. Conduct performance management and development for cleaning department. Update staff attendance registers and duty roster. Monitor attendance through the signing of attendance register. Plan allocation of cleaners on monthly basis. Ensure a clean and hygienic environment in the wards/units.
