Requirements :

• MBChB or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as an independent Medical Officer. A valid current registration as an Independent Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA. Extensive experience in managing Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) unit(s). Wide-ranging experience in training nursing and medical staff in KMC. RECOMMENDATION: Research experience in the relevant fields. Availability on days as required by the Department of Paediatrics.

Duties :

• Management and patient care in the KMC unit. Training of nursing staff, doctors and other health care professionals in KMC. Providing expert advice and training at National and International level.
