Requirements :

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate. No experience required. Skills and competencies: Interpersonal and communication skills. Customer \ Client management. Presentation skills. Decision making. Problem solving skills. Computer literacy. Report writing. Strong interpersonal skills. A valid code B drivers’ license.

Duties :

  • Issuing of state vehicle: Trip authority is dully signed by relevant signatories. Ensure that the vehicle issued complies with all Road Traffic Legislation, vehicle condition report is done, indicating the condition of the vehicle at the time of the vehicle being issued. Correct vehicle for the application is issued. Code indicated on the driver’s license of the official corresponds with the class of vehicle issued. Driver has his own driver tag. Conduct pre and post inspection: Inspect vehicle when issuing to the official if it is road worthy. Indicate all items such as tools, spare wheel, e-tag, license disc etc. and do the same when the vehicle is returned. All items issued with the vehicle are received back. That a vehicle condition report is done upon the vehicle being returned. All fuel purchase receipts, and toll slips are handed in with logbook on completion of the trip(s). Vehicle maintenance: All vehicles are booked for service according to manufacturer’s intervals. Vehicle downtime is monitored and reported on to management and the relevant service provider. Delivery of vehicles to merchants for repairs and maintenance as advised by the service provider. Ensure that service books for the vehicles are stamped as evidence that the vehicle was serviced. That any vehicles defects are repaired. Process dealer stocking requests from Asset Management. Keep an updated register of all vehicles that went for service, new tires, new battery etc. Management of vehicle: Fuel purchase slips are validated against the logbook entries and system data. Itineraries are compared with the completed logbooks vs tracker report. Investigate misuse complaints are and provide feedback. Details of drivers involved in traffic violations are provided. Identify and investigate exception on oil purchases. Compiling Monthly Reports: Consolidation of monthly reports.
