Requirements :

• Grade 12 with National Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography. Current registration with HPCSA as an Independent Diagnostic Radiographer. A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience after registration with HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer, of which 5 years must be appropriate experience in Management (Chief Radiographer). Computer literacy and driver’s license is essential. Excellent Communication skills (written and Verbal). Sound knowledge of general Radiography protocols and equipment. Knowledge of Ideal Clinic tool, National Core Standards, and overall quality assurance. Sound knowledge of PFMA and relevant Public Service Acts and Regulations, as well as Policies that are applicable to Radiography. Sound strategic planning and organizational skills, leadership, and supervisory skills.

Duties :

• Overall management of Radiography units in Ekurhuleni Health District. Support Radiography supervisors/ managers in different Community Health Centers to meet their objectives. Implementation and monitoring of policies related to Radiography in different clinics. Develop, implement, evaluate, and monitor district standard operating procedures. Ensure efficient and effective management of Radiography equipment, assets, consumables, and human resources. Manage Radiography quality assurance program and ensure that all equipment’s are complying with Radiation Control regulations. Ensure proper data management. Implement supply chain processes. Management of financial resources, and physical resources. Must have good understanding of Primary Health Care system and involvement in health promotion programs. Ability to work as a member of multidisciplinary team and independently in terms of decision making and problem solving.
