Grade 12 Certificate with relevant Degree or Diploma (NQF6) in Finance Management or relevant equivalent qualification. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in finance and the following key competencies: Knowledge of systems such as Accounting and Basic accounting system (BAS) and SAP/ HIS, SAP R/3 and prescripts and legislation governing finance such as Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations and Policies. Computer literacy (Spreadsheets techniques) and numeracy. Ability to use Excel, communicate at all levels. Customer Service, and telephone etiquette as well as good communication skills. Experience in public sector finance , understanding of SCOA. Ability to follow proactive and creative approach. Be able to work under pressure. Ability to implement systems and exercise control Knowledge of grants such as NTSG , HPTDG &HIV &AIDS.
Duties :
-
Compliance reporting-Prepare monthly , quarterly and annual reports in accordance with the prescripts, compiling and submitting of reports to provincial office in compliance with PFMA deadlines or as required by the stake holders. Oversee the grants expenditures as provided by the province and report quarterly.
Processing of journals, review and maintain the reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with the prescripts also manage the financial procedures and internal control request weekly expenditure reports to monitor the budget .reconcile the ledger including suspense accounts on monthly basis. Prepare monthly project and departmental budget expenditure reports for management and other reports that are related to budget. Management of the GRANTS, and preparation of the business plans on annual basis. Compile quarterly reports for the grants. Work closely with SCM and ensure that reports for grants are compiled and submitted on time. Hold meeting with the team. Relieve officials that are on leave.
