Requirements :

Degree in Occupational Therapy that allow registration with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist (independent practice). Proof of current registration with HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist. Knowledge of psychiatry will be a requirement. Knowledge about forensic psychiatry will be an added advantage. Must be computer literate.
Duties :
-
Render an Occupational Therapy service in allocated areas of work that complies with the standard and norms as indicated by Health policies. Assessment and treatment of patient in allocated area of work with the inclusion of project management. Involvement in the assessment of observandi. Be responsible for therapeutic and /or income generating projects in area of work. Effective report writing skills needed. Working well within the MDT set up. Active participation in Quality Assurance and PMDS process. Supervision of OTTs. Supervision of students. Participate in CPD activities (internal and external).
