Requirements :

Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse. Proof of current registration with the SANC as a professional Nurse. Occupational Health and Safety qualification with a duration of at least one year, accredited with the SANC. A minimum of 7 years appropriate/ recognisable experience in Nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. A minimum of three years' experience in an EHWP environment will be an added advantage. A driver's licence will be an added advantage. Knowledge of the PSA, PSR, DPSA and EHW Strategic Framework and related policies. Ability to manage highly confidential information. Knowledge of Employee Health and Wellness Program. Experience in planning and coordinating the implementation of EHW Programmes. Ability to provide vision and setting direction for the unit. Planning and execution skills. Knowledge of report writing, counselling, communication, able to work under pressure, Professional, and strategic. Good organizing, project planning, coordination, and facilitation skills. Proven computer skills.
Duties :

Overall management of the Employee Health and Wellness Programme (EHWP). Provide support on Wellness Management aspects. Provide Psycho-social and Mental Health Services to employees and their families. Compliance with privacy and confidentiality. Involve a multi-disciplinary team where necessary. Ensure OHS compliance, providing OHS statistics and advice, and ensure legislative compliance. Provide support on Sport and Recreation Management. Manage Bereavement and Workplace Violence. Provide a Health and Productivity management service to the South Rand Hospital employees. Manage the Employee Wellness Programme process. Organize wellness days programme with different stakeholders and service providers. Manage HIV/AIDS/TB in the South Rand Hospital. Voluntary counselling and testing ( VCT). Ensure the monthly and annual employee wellness reports for the purpose of appropriate reporting by management as required.
Manage the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness and impact of Employee Wellness Programs, policies and procedures in the department.
Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and have plans to address dissatisfaction. Ensure OHS compliance, providing OHS statistics and advice, and ensure legislative compliance. Conduct workplace inspections for risk assessment, hazard identification, and Disaster management. Ensure the rendering of OHS and Occupational injury and disease services to all South Rand Hospital employees, including contractors, private nursing college, and professional health community services through the means of the Employee Wellness Centre. Conduct medical surveillance screening, management of medical emergency, and provision of vaccines to all South Rand Hospital employees. Advise the PILIR committee. Participate, assist, and advise in the reasonable accommodation and PILIR committees for employees who present with medical and psychological conditions. Comply with the Performance Management and Development System.
