Grade 12 (Senior certificate).Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office(MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Power Point, Outlook) applications. Knowledge of HIS/SAP will be an added advantage
Knowledge of registration and admission process on HIS/SAP Knowledge of the Mental Health Care Act (MHCA 17/2002) documents Billing classification. Preparedness to work shifts (12-hour shift), including weekends and public holidays and overtime when requested.
Duties :

Provide administrative support to Patient administration operations. Registration of mental health care users (MHCUs) on HIS/SAP. Registration of outpatient visits and appointments (OPD). Admission of mental health care users from referral hospitals and courts. Ensure that correct MHCA documents are submitted on admission and that MHCUs are correctly classified. Knowledge of billing classification according to the UPFS tariffs.
Knowledge of downtime procedure. Liaison with the Mental Health Review Board with regards to MHCA documents. Knowledge of periodical reports and the submission thereof .Continuous liaison with prosecutors with regards to admissions from court .Reclassification administrative procedures on state patients to involuntary MHCUs. Update all MHCUs movements on SAP/HIS. Abscondment, discharge and leave of absence procedure
Scanning and filing of documents. Safekeeping of MHCU’s private funds, kit and valuables. Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports on admissions and other movements. Perform any other duties as reasonably delegated by the supervisor within the scope of the post.
