Requirements :

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12 Certificate) with an Appropriate Three-Year Diploma/ Degree in Public Administration & Management with not less than 5 years’ current proven experience in Patient Administration as a supervisor. A minimum of not less than 2 years’ Supervisory experience as (Chief Admin Clerk/Admin Officer level 7/8) in Patient Administration. Grade 12 with more than 10 years’ current proven experience in patient administration and not less than 5 years’ supervisory experience as (Chief Admin Clerk/Admin Officer level 7/8) in Patient Administration. Understanding of Current Patient Affairs / Administration with specific reference to both Outpatients and in –Patient Management, Registry, Mortuary, Messengers and Portering Services and other areas of importance within Patient Administration. Be computer literate, Good report writing skills and ability to make decisions and act on them. Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team. Work Optimally as part of a dynamic team. Ability to develop and implement monitoring and evaluation tool. Good interpersonal relation, honest and reliable and able to uphold high ethical conduct. Good understanding of Public Service Legislation and Prescripts applicable to government including systems and procedures

Duties :

  • Manage patient records, Registration of patients and 24hrs emergencies services which include admission wards. Organize and control administrative activities pertaining to patients. Management of all key responsibilities by applying and implementing relevant administration policies. Responsible for monitoring of attendance. Supervise Human Resource and contract with all staff under your care. Ensuring continuous training and development of staff and conduct daily inspections of Departments. Compilation and submission of accurate patient statistics to improve efficiency. Manage the Electronic filing system. Monitor and control the frontline services in accordance with the deliverology tool. Champion and assist the team by communicating mission and vision of the Department. Management of logistical support services. Attend to Auditor-General (AG) findings, Ideal Hospital, risk management, and compile action plan and reports for the unit. Provide Weekly, Monthly reports (quantitative and qualitative). Perform other duties as delegated by the supervisor.
