Requirements :

• MBChB or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner. Current registration with the HPCSA as an independent Medical Practitioner 2026/2027. Grade 1: No experience after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner. Grade 2: A minimum of 05 years appropriate experience after registration with HPCSA as Medical Practitioner. Grade 3: A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.

Duties :

• Work as a consulting Medical Officer in Primary Health Care (PHC) clinics. Provision of good quality patient-centered and community orientated care for all patients. Promote and ensure continuity of care. Examine, investigate, diagnose and treat patients; TB, patients for ARVs, sick children. Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and training of PHC Medical Officers. Provide medical support to all PHC clinical staff. Ensure that relevant patients' statistics are maintained. Provide preventable health intervention and measures to promote health. Handle disability grant assessments. The incumbent will be accountable to the sub-district Family Physician. Perform any other duties as delegated by Supervisor.

Candidates in possession of a foreign qualification will be required to furnish the Department with an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). HR will conduct Personnel Suitability Checks (PSC) and Verification Checks. The Department reserve the right to conduct verification beyond information provided, where necessary. Failure to submit all the relevant information mentioned above with the exception of HR verification checks, will result in the candidate being disqualify.
