Requirements :

  • BChD or equivalent qualification. Registration with HPCSA as a Dentist in the category of independent practice. Two years' experience as a Dentist after Community service. A postgraduate qualification in Dentistry or Public Health. Recommendations: Lecturing, clinical supervision, outreach experience and research.

Duties :

  • Teaching, supervision and assessment of undergraduate students in Community Dentistry. Supervising students in the clinical wards and on outreach platforms. Selective clinical duties within the hospital and in outreach platforms, will be assigned to the candidate which can include transporting students and managing and treating of patients. Attendance and participation in all departmental meetings including seminars and journal discussions. fulfil duties independently and apply innovative approaches in day-to day work and challenges.
