Grade 1 Lecturer - Matric/ grade 12 certificate. Degree/Diploma in Nursing. Qualification that allows registration with SANC as a General nurse or midwife, an additional qualification in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration. A minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration as a professional nurse with SANC in general nursing. A nursing Education qualification registered with SANC. A valid Driver’s license. Computer certificate / Literacy. Certificate/ Proof of registration in Assessor and Moderation will be an added advantage. Grade 2 Lecturer - Matric/ grade 12 certificate. Computer certificate / Literacy Skills and Knowledge: Certificate/ Proof of registration in Assessor and Moderation will be an added advantage. Experience in education programme development and management experience in Nursing Education at a college or a higher education institution must be able to contribute to the paradigm shift in Nursing Education for health service delivery, facilitate efficient service delivery and provide constructive inputs into programme reviews. Analytic assessment and evaluation skills. Computer literacy with data capturing and generation of reports utilizing excel or relevant software solutions and report writing skills. Ability to engage in transformation and respond to the political imperatives of government as it relates to Nursing Education and Training. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure. Relate well to a diversity of personnel and range of stakeholders. Commitment to excellence in Nursing Education, Training and practice. Ability to collate, monitor and evaluate assessment data from multiple sources. A demonstrable commitment to excellence in Nursing Education and Training.
Duties :

Participate in Gauteng College of Nursing students’ selection and admission processes. Compile and update the Student Affairs department quality improvement plan to address deviations from the established standards. Compile and submit Student Affairs' monthly statistics to HOD Student Affairs
Facilitate storage of students’ records, both electronic and manual. Compile and submit academic transcripts of training records as requested by previous students. Facilitate the capturing of attendance registers, clinical hour forms and leave of students in preparation for completion of training. Delegate activities to Student Affairs Department personnel. Monitor Student Affairs Department personnel attendance and absence. Monitor personnel performance in terms of the Performance Management and Development System (PMDS). Identify and recommend training and development needs for Student Affairs personnel. Facilitate proper utilization of physical resources. Facilitate the implementation of the college and campus operational plans.
