Requirements :

• Grade 12. A National Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography. A Valid Drivers licence. Current registration with HPCSA as an Independent Practitioner. Must have completed Community Service as per HPCSA requirements. No experience is required after registration with HPCSA as an Independent Diagnostic Radiographer. Interpersonal skills, time management, computer skills, report writing skills, communication skills, Knowledge of Digital radiography machines, general radiography, Quality assurance/Control, record keeping process, PMDS compliance with the budget, National core standards, Health and Safety and Infection Control policies and public Service legislation, Policies and Procedures. Knowledge of DOH Guidelines. Willingness to rotate within the District when required.

Duties :

• Participate in 24-hour Radiographic Services. Work weekends and public holidays and be a part of the stand-by allocation. Carry out duties delegated by the supervisor. Ensure radiographic services comply with SAHPRA regulations. Adhere to Batho Pele Principles, Patients Rights Charter and Ideal Clinic Realisation, Quality Assurance and Public Service policies and Acts. Must be a team player within the Department/ District. Perform Quality Control Tests, Attend Departmental meetings and CPD meetings and Perform any Ad-hoc duties allocated by Management.
