Requirements :

• Basic R425 qualification (Degree/ Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse, A minimum of 4 years appropriate / recognizable experience in Nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Post-Basic Nursing qualification with a duration of at least 1 year accredited with SANC in TRAUMA. Knowledge of Nursing Legislations and related legal and ethical Nursing Practices.

Duties :

• Perform a clinical Nursing practice in accordance with the scope of practice and Nursing standards as determined by the relevant health facility, Execute duties and functions with proficiency within prescripts of applicable legislation. Provision of quality patient care through setting of standards, policies and procedures. Promote effective communication with patient, supervisors and other clinicians including accurate report writing and patients advocacy. Manage effective utilization of Human, Financial and Material resources. Be able to plan your own work and that of the team to ensure proper patients care. Maintain Professional growth/ ethical standards of self and the team. Participate in interprofessional and multidisciplinary teamwork towards the promotion of efficient and effective prevention and control. Provide Professional support for the Provision of quality patient as required by Ideal Hospital Realization and Maintenance. Participate in Education and training of personnel and student nurses. Able to promote the rights of the patients, advocating and facilitating proper treatment and care of patients.
