Requirements :

• MBChB, and MMed or FCA or equivalent qualification. Registration as a Medical Specialist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Valid registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Medical Practitioner. Proof of current paid registration with HPCSA (2024). The candidate must have at least six (6) months of experience as a Medical Specialist in Critical Care. Advanced Life support courses are advantageous. Strong leadership training, and organizational skills are needed.

Duties :

• The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting evidence -based patient care. Your clinical work in the Critical Care Department includes a maximum 80hours/month. This will involve providing clinical services and consultancy work at Kalafong Provincial Tertiary Hospital, teaching and training post-graduate students in the operating theatre, providing clinical supervision and training to junior staff, and participating in departmental academic and research activities. Your administrative duties, including medio-legal documentation, are also pertinent to Anesthesiology.
