Requirements :

  • Bachelor of Diagnostic Radiography, which allows registration with the HPCSA . Registration with the HPCSA in the Diagnostic Radiography. A minimum of 3 years of appropriate experience in Diagnostic Radiography after registration with the HPCSA. Knowledge and application of administrative duties, Sound knowledge of radiation control and safety measures. Sound knowledge of Diagnostic Radiography procedures and equipment. Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety Acts. Ability to communicate effectively and problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal relations and ability to perform well within. Sound knowledge of Public Serve Human Resource policies and procedures

Duties :

  • Provide quality radiography services to all patients referred. Ensure provision and management of a 24 -Hour Service Delivery. Coordinate, supervise, and provide high-quality Radiographic Training to subordinate staff. Knowledge, understanding and implementation of procurement processes and other disciplines within the institution. Manage departmental workflow to ensure uninterrupted coverage and minimal waiting times. Liaise with internal and external departments/ stakeholders for service improvement. Ensure provision and provide services as per HPCSA scope of Practice and Guidelines. Perform forensic imaging studies for medico-legal purposes within the scope of training. Render the imaging services with precaution to ensure maximal radiation safety and minimal exposure to patient safety incidents (PSI). Ensure assessment and maintenance of maximal patient satisfaction or experience of care. . Maintenance and management of equipment as per manufacturers ‘and PFMA guidelines.

Failure to submit all the relevant information preceding the statement above will result in disqualifying the candidate.
