Requirements :

  • Matric or equivalent. Qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Auxiliary. Registration with SANC as a Nursing Auxiliary and proof of current registration.

Duties :

  • To provide quality basic nursing care services under the supervision of Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses. To nurse patients within the scope of practices as defined by the SANC. To practice nursing care safely and ethically in allocated areas. Demonstrate ability to integrate knowledge, skills and attitude for the care patients. Implement infection control practices and proper medical waste management. To maintain professional growth, ethical standards and self-development. Compulsory shift work and flexibility. Must be prepared to work in allocated area due to service demands and work shifts as per allocations; this includes nightshift, weekends and public holidays.
