Requirements :

• Basic R425 qualification (diploma/ degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and current registration. Have a minimum of 7 years appropriate / recognizable experience in Nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Experience in DS-TB, DR-TB and TB / HIV programme will be added advantage. Computer literacy is Mandatory. Ability to work under pressure and independently.

Duties :

• Monitor and Support implementation of the TB programme in the Hospital. Promote HAST strategic plan in line with TB and HIV strategies. Facilitate and support implementation of the National TB Control Guidelines, Policies and TB recovery plan in the hospital. Plan and organize TB monthly meetings for TB Focal point and conduct TB/HIV in service training in the Hospitals. Ensure good working relationship with all programme in the hospital and the district for effective management of the TB Programme. Ensure effective referral system for TB programme. Ensure integrated Health Information System for TB on TIER. Net. DHIS and EDR Web. Coordinate monthly and quarterly DS-TB and DR-TB reports for submission to District, verify and analyze data prior submission and adhere to report submission timelines. Participate in interprofessional and Multidisciplinary teamwork towards the promotion of efficient and effective prevention and control. Provide professional support for the provision of quality patient as required by Ideal Hospital realization and Maintenance.
