Requirements :

• Matric Certificate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Therapy & Audiology. Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Speech Therapist and Audiologist. One year of community service completed and compliant with Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements. COMPETENCE: Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict management, time management, initiative, flexibility, and operational planning skills. Ability to work independently, in groups, and under pressure.

Duties :

• Provide quality Speech Therapy and Audiology services at the district level, ensuring alignment with the strategic plans of national, provincial, and institutional goals. Key duties include the issuing of relevant hearing and communication devices, conducting Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) screenings and treatment. Implementation of Early Hearing Detection and Interventions. Mentoring and working in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Management of resources, including human, physical and financial. Basis understanding of the principles of quality assurance and the relevant audit tools. Completing daily and monthly statistics, compiling reports, and maintaining comprehensive records, both physical and electronic.
