Requirements :

• MBChB degree, 4 years experience in orthopaedics , with at least 3 months spent doing orthopaedic paediatric unit, Specialist interest in paeditric orthopaedic and clinical research . Research track record with at least one completed research project in the field of orthopaedics in the last 3 years. Registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a medical practitioner. Membership with the South African Orthopaedic Association and Spine Society is encouraged.

Duties :

• Join the department of orthopaedics at SBAH as a medical officer in the paediatric unit. Your responsibility will include ward rounds, surgical procedures, producing research publications, undergraduate student teaching, supervising, mentoring of junior members of staff , and participating in the department`s academic activities.
