Requirements :

  • Appropriate 4-year degree in Podiatry, Current registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an independent practitioner; Grade 1 No experience , Grade 2 a minimum of 10 years relevant experience and Grade 3 a minimum of 20 years relevant experience after registration with the Health Professional council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an independent practitioner in Podiatry .Knowledge of working in a community-based setting, computer literate, sound interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and ability to work under pressure. Have analytical and creative skills and be adaptable.

Duties :

  • Rendering Podiatry and therapeutic services in the district that complies with Norms and Standards as indicated by the Health Department. Provide community-based Rehabilitation and therapeutic services with the focus on health promotion, prevention and treatment. Work in a multidisciplinary team within the primary health care or community health care facilities. The candidate must have knowledge of quality assurance audit tools, National Rehabilitation Policy and National Core Standards. Complete his/her statistics, monthly and annual reports. Attend and participate in monthly meetings and CPD presentations. Candidate must be willing to outreach to other clinics within Tshwane District and Perform all other allocated duties as delegated by the Supervisor/ Manager.
