Requirements :

  • Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse. A minimum of 7 years of appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Primary Health Care certificate will be an added advantage. Knowledge of the HIV and AIDS, STI’s and TB policy guidelines and ability to integrate all HIV and TB related. A valid driver's licence. Computer literacy. Leadership, written and verbal communication skills programmes. Knowledge of health-related and Government’s policy on HIV, STI and TB. Knowledge and understanding of TIER.NET and Web DHIS reporting system. Knowledge in NAS and initiated Anti-Retroviral Therapy (NIMART)including PC101 training.

Duties :

  • Responsible for the implementation of comprehensive management of the Ante Retroviral treatment in sub-districts to reduce mortality and morbidity due to HIV and TB. Ensure ART drug stock availability in all health facilities, Hospitals and Mobile Units. Ensure equitable access to quality HIV/TB Diagnostic, Treatment, and care services. Monitoring and evaluation of the ART Programme. Strengthened Operation Phuthuma and the Nerve centre Facility to support the district. Supervise and provide support to HTS Sub District Lay counsellor and mentors. Enhance partnerships and collaboration with key stakeholders in the HIV/TB management. Implementation and monitoring of ART and TB programme aligned to the 95x95x95 UNAID strategy. Implementation of ART and TB initiation regimes in both children and adults, treatment of side effects/adverse
