An Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Medical Practitioner, HPCSA registration as an Independent Medical Practitioner and must have completed Community Service. Current registration with HPCSA for 2025/2026. Preference will be given to candidates with FCP Part 1, ACLS, AMLS and Diploma in HIV Management and who have post community service. Exposure working in Internal Medicine as Medical Officer will be an added advantage.

The successful candidate will be expected to rotate between working both in General Internal Medicine and Medical subspecialties. In General, Internal medicine, the candidate will be responsible for the clinical management of general medical patients within any of the training hospitals. Supervise medical officers and interns and liaise with their consultants daily regarding this. Perform and teach diagnostic and therapeutic procedures concordant with a Registrar’s training in this regard. Manage patients at MOPD, manage patients attending the Subspecialty OPD or Speciality Ward Consultations within a relevant sub-speciality. Mentor to junior doctors and associated clinical staff.

The performance of normal and commuted overtime is not mandatory, however it will be based on the operational needs of the hospitals .
