Requirements :

  • Three (3) years relevant tertiary qualification in Business/ Public Management/ Administration/ Management. Knowledge in towing, auctions and assessments of vehicles. Three to five (3 - 5) Years' experience with towing and auctions. Implement easy Record keeping for towing and police clearances. Liaising with towing merchants and RT46 contracts administrators. Managing enquiries requested from client departments, service providers and other stakeholders for withdrawal vehicles, towing and auctions.

Duties :

  • Vehicle life cycle management program (Repairs and Maintenance): Manage provision of towing and auction service to the entity. Liaison with client departments, service providers and other stakeholders. Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports with regards to towing, auctions, and assessments of vehicles. Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring of towing, auctions, and assessments of vehicles. Managerial and administration: Assist with compilation of auction documentation, Trans-union values and assessment of vehicle reports. Manage staff performance. Documenting and preparing weekly progress reports. Execution of maintenance procedures. Strategy and development: Contribute to new business initiatives, projects, review and communicate the impact on towing, auctions, and assessment of vehicles. People Management: Review and assess on going performance of direct personnel reports. Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required. Consistently promote high standards through personal example and rollout through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them. Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within the area of accountability. Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels. Motivate and coach the team to operational success. Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems. Review, implement and update company record e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments. Relationship Management: Improve operation, recommending, supporting and execution of continuous improvement of activities, processes, and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality of delivery in line with the entity goals and customer requirements. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance. Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with towing and assessment. Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers, and other service providers. Ensure an effective interface with other departmental staff is maintained.
